Fundraising: My cup of tea in support of DRWF
DRWF Head of Community Fundraising Tim Green raises a cuppa in support of diabetes research
Tim Green, Head of Community Fundraising at DRWF said: “We wanted to recognise the spirit of the UK, during this difficult time. As a team we felt the best way to bring people together was to launch a campaign, bringing everyone together for a cuppa without the need to leave their home. We coupled this with a donation of £2.60, which represents the average cost of a cup of tea – it’s the perfect match at a challenging time for charities. We are extremely grateful to everyone who has already participated and look forward to seeing many more across social media.”
In the launch for Just Giving’s 2.6 Challenge to ‘Save The UK’s Charities’ the fundraising hosts said: “Charities need our support now more than ever. So, if you can make a donation (big or small), it would mean the world to them. You could even go one step further by creating a JustGiving page, collecting donations from family and friends too.”
You do not have to be on social media to participate and donations can made at the link below.
